She'll be here Tuesday.

She is so beautiful.

I can't be sure until I meet her, of course, but I will probably name her Sunny. Then I will sing the "Sunny came home..." song to her. Although I don't actually want her to burn down my house.

There will be cookies and breads.

Thank you Mom and Dad.

Yeah, Happy Birthday!

I love my Kitchen Aide mixer. It's one of my most prized possessions. Sooooo much better than a bread machine 'cuz you can make so many wonderful things with it.

Cheers,
Tim.

My friends gave me my own porn at Pub Quiz tonight. It isn't the same as winning porn, but still a very thoughtful gesture.

Happy Birthday, Megan.

Everyone here knows what to get the girl that has everything, yet here we sit, day after day, lapping up water policy and ignoring your basic needs.

Here's to another year of that.

Happy Birthday, sweets!

Hey, wait a sec. Doesn't that violate the "1930's-machinery-only" policy of your kitchen?

Really? You think she burned the house down in that song? I never saw it that way.

Cladeedah - the Kitchen Aid stand mixer was first built in 1915, so I think it is probably okay.

Silly me - of course she checked out that part early on. :-)

I would violate all my principles for a KitchenAid mixer. I'm just lucky I didn't have to.

You have money, these things aren't THAT expensive. It's not like you're dying to get a new telescope.

We really like our Kitchen Aid. What's nice is that there are a number of attachments available. If you like fresh pasta, for instance, you can get a pasta-making attachment for the mixer.

Wait, do you realize I have that exact one in that exact color? I told you I won it in a raffle, didn't I? It made my year. Or at least one week of that year.

With all these expressions of love for the machine I was reminded of the second episode of the brilliant 'The Century of the Self'(available on google video).

The mixer rocks. I highly recommend the ice cream maker attachment.

I always thought that "Sunny Came Home" song was about learning to do home repair.

I like it better that way, and will continue with my interpretation.

Sunny came home with a mission. And matches. And it is a windy day. You guys might be even sweeter-natured than I am.

Oh, no, so late with the well wishes! Happy Birthday, Megan!

(And I am totally jealous of your KitchenAid. I think you ought to make these.)

Happy Birthday!

I got one of these a Christmas ago and found I use it way more than I expected. That, and the slicer/shredder attachment had lured me into leaving it out all the time. Cause quick shredding cheese or quick slicing veggies for tempura's very slick.

Stop stop STOP!!!

I'm never listening to that song past the first verse. To me, it's about home repair.

Happy birthday, and happy baking! Now you can post pictures of your creations when you run out of water stories.

(I always thought it was about self-immolation. At the very least, in a metaphorical sense.)

I don't know if you notice comments on old posts, but I came across this today: flameKA.com.

They make decal flames to decorate Kitchen-aid mixers.
