Fireworks make me purely happy.

Now that's a cryptic thread title if I've ever seen one ...

Fireworks are the cure for cynicism. No one can be too cool for good fireworks.

I learned that as "Be kind to your web-footed friends..."

The fireworks in DC really spectacular. At one point I looked around, and saw thousands of people all looking up and smiling.

You know, I Googled it and came up with nothing. I know the second line, and I'm hoping someone'll finish it.

What comes after "Be kind to your web-footed friends"? Because the line I know wouldn't fit.

for a duck may be somebody's mother
be kind to your friends in the swamp
where the weather is always damp

you may think that this is the end
well it is

Best fireworks experience ever: walking down onto the the baseball field at McAfee Coliseum after a night game, and lying out on that lush, lush grass while watching fireworks overhead. This was 4th of July weekend two years ago.

I skipped out on fireworks last night, but I'm looking forward to the 27th, when the Giants are shooting them off after their night game against the Marlins. I live on the 14th floor, and will be able to see them from our kitchen window.

My three year old got to stay up past 10pm for the first time (intentionally) to see the fireworks at the lake; we go out to the end of the point and watch the fireworks that the village shoots off. He's still talking about it this morning (friday). "lots of colors and shapes and they were beautiful..."
