Happens all the time.

My throat hurts like a motherfucker; my voice is nearly out. Biking around, I'm not singing like I usually would, but whispering the lyrics. I bet people think I'm one of the Ying Yang Twins.

Sore throat, cough, slight fever, voice cracking. It was attractively husky Saturday day, but now just sounds painful (which it is).

That cold is going around, it's your turn. I had my turn last week. And, remember, the only way to get over a cold is to pass it along to someone else.

Ok, you know we all love you but you are SO NOT one of the Ying Yang twins. Sorry....

I know what you're going through .. at the beginning of last week I felt lousy, and now I'm left with a barking cough that probably can be heard a mile off. Two people who were sitting in separate seats not far from me on the train this evening got up and moved elsewhere.
Heck, if the Metropolitan Opera were casting the part of a frail young woman dying of consumption, I'd be a natural. As long as I didn't have to, you know, sing or anything.
