Try not to weep from jealousy.

Just today, I found where the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board has posted PDFs of the historical groundwater quality reports for Los Osos. There are hundreds of pages of descriptions of aquifers, soils, infiltration rates, nature of pollutants and more; they're all from the 60's and 70's, so you know those bad boys are in Courier all the way through. You wish you were me.

I could read OliveGreen or Prima or Lucida forever! But I'm so tired of Courier

Unless... they're all shitty scans from papers, where the horizontals don't line up with the edge of the page and there is crap all over like someone was squashing bugs on your screen. Love those. Fucked Olympia J and Times Screwed Roman (which I think is no longer available online) are two of my faviourite fonts.

Not a fan of serifs, I take it.

These reports, which I really am happy to have, are not just in Courier, they are also bad scans from paper, where the horizontals don't align, and the screen is fuzzy.

I'll still read them. The nice thing is that pages in Courier, with big ol' margins, don't actually have a lot of content.

People who prefer sans serif fonts are a bunch of dumb dummies.

Hey Dubin, did you hear what Justus said about you? He also said Gill Sans is a stupidhead and not all that.

You know, Justus' clever reasoning has completely floored me. I am a bunch of dumb dummies.

Seriously, I don't discriminate. I just don't know any nice monospaced fonts with serifs.

So, have you studied the documents on Los Osos yet? And would you say, in your professional opinion, that there is a groundwater pollution crisis in Los Osos? PLEASE tell us what you surmise from these documents after studying them.

Please do. Until I hear from you, in the unlikely event I might happen to be in Los Osos, I am NOT drinking the water (and I did when I was in Mexico!)

I have no professional opinions about water quality. I'm strictly a water quantity girl. Irrigation, water rights, canals, pumps. I have opinions about stuff like that. Water quality stuff is as foreign to me as air quality. I would simply be quoting out of the reports, because I have no gut feel or independent ideas for what "a lot of nitrites" means.

That's OK. I almost never drink water anyway.

Unless I'm in Mexico. And constipated.

(didn't work, by the way)
