Point of clarification.
If we're friends and I ask you whether you read the blog, I am not checking up. I really and truly do not care whether my real friends read this. I just want to know whether I can tell the same stories or if I have to find new things to talk about.

I also wonder how to ask this question without it coming off like an accusation. I do not think my blog is so wonderful that my friends should feel obligated to read it or feel guilty for not reading it. Oftentimes when I ask whether they read it, I actually get an apology. I don't know how to stop that. Blogs are not for everyone, and my blog is even less so.
I'm here often, so something 'new' please when we have lunch...
I'm not opposed to Los Osos or cc.

Blogs (esp my own) make me uncomfortable. But I read! I also politely pretend I am hearing things for the first time.
Yes yes! Polite conventions, please. They make me feel like a better conversator. Also, your blog is awesome. A few of my friends read it.
